Claudio Trovajoli began his concert activity already in his years of study at the Conservatory, performing both in Italy and abroad.  Very soon he followed his interest in the chamber music repertoire and performed in various formations, from the duo to the quintet. He founded the David Trio which immediately established itself as one of the prominent chamber groups of the Italian music scene.

He won the Absolute First Prize at the "S.Fuga" National Competition in Turin and the "G.B.Viotti" International Competition in Vercelli, the First Prize Absolute and the Haydn Prize for best performance at the International Piano Competition for Trio with Piano "F. J. Haydn ” in Vienna and the First Absolute Prize at the Yellow Springs Chamber Music Competition (Ohio, USA), the First Prize and the Audience Award at the Easton International Chamber Music Competition (Maryland, USA) and received the award of the prestigious Borletti-Buitoni scholarship in London.

He usually plays with Felix Ayo, David Cohen, Adrej Bielow, Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, Vladimir Mendelssohn, Reto Bieri, Dan Zhu.

He has performed practically all over the world. Some of the seasons that saw him protagonist: Modena Municipal Theater, Mozart Festival in Rovereto, Villa Pignatelli in Naples, Vicenza Olympic Theater, Barattelli Society of L'Aquila, Casals Festival in Prades and Radio France Festival in Montpellier, Haydn Festspiele in Heisenstadt (Austria), Coliseum Theater in Buenos Aires, Fundación Beethoven in Santiago de Chile, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Wigmore Hall in London.

He is regularly invited to play in the Quirinale Concerts series as well as the most representative chamber music Festivals in Europe, like Kuhmo Chamber music Festival, “Lessons intensifs” in Lessine (Belgium) and many others.

His consistent discography includes a wide repertoire for Trio with piano: he recorded for the first time the two Trios by G. Martucci; the all Trios with piano by Franz Schubert for the Altara in London, a recording that has been defined in the review "the best recording of the last twenty years". With the Stradivarius of Milan, he recorded the Trios of Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich. This CD received five stars and flattering praise on the monthly Classic Voice and Amadeus.

The concert activity has always been accompanied by a passionate activity as a teacher. His pupils are often winners of international competitions.

He usually holds master classes in international festivals.

Claudio is Artistic Director of the Festival “Concertando” of Rome.

He is teacher of Piano at the "A. Casella "of L'Aquila and at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome.
